Why has your site got such a rude name?
It hasn’t my cocker. Cornish Knockers are wee people from Cornish folklore. The Knockers on this site are inspired by them and the other Cornish legends.

What are all the funny words mixed in with the normal English?
Some of them are an approximation of Cornish dialect. They speak differently from town to town so it may or may not be correct depending on where you are standing. So we have taken bits of dialect from all over Cornwall and made them into our own Cornish Knockers version. Cornwall (Kernow) also has its own language (Kernewek) so the odd one or two are taken from that. The rest of them are probably typos.

Are you really pirates?
Yes we are. We spend all our spare time sailing around the Cornish Coast throwing pants and unwanted wedding gifts at people.
