A lovely little set of artcards/aceo’s created in black and white for that old school horror film feel. Watercolour, ink and pen. Good evening my little grammersows. We recently received a commission to come up with a postcard design based on the old Cornish Litany illustrations dating back to the 20’s. A litany has to include the saying (or a derivative of) ‘From Ghoulies and Ghosties and Long Leggetty Beasties and Things that go Bump in the night Good Lord Deliver Us. It had to be mainly black and white in keeping with the old versions but in our own Cornish Knocker style. We think it turned out very well and the new owner loved it. I used to draw Cornish Litany work back in ye day so it was nice to get involved in it again. We thought we’d spook the back up a bit with a selection of bones. Those clever and most respectable of buggers over at http://www.cornishworldmagazine.co.uk have decided to review this site and name it their website of the month! Well in honour of this show of extreme intelligence, we at cornishknockers.com have decided to name Cornish World as Cornish Knockers Magazine of the month. Well done my luvvers. Bleddy hell boy, whatever next?! |
